Features include a 12-key IP65 dynamic compact format vandal-proof stainless steel industrial numeric keypad with industrial PCB electronics controller shielded and protected by stainless steel housing. The unit is provided with PS/2, or USB, RS232 connection output cables that plug directly into the host computer for normal keypad operations. Waterproof and dirt-proof execution according to degree of protection IP65, the waterproof and dirt-proof encapsulation utilizes a unique membrane. Stainless steel fascia and key-tops guard against willful destruction, corrosion, shock, dust, falling rain, splashing, hose-directed water, and vandalism, allowing operation under hostile environments. The rear stainless steel plate includes mounting holes for rear panel mounting. The industrial PCB utilizes carbon-on-gold key switch technology with a long stroke of 2.0mm, providing extremely good tactile feeling for fast and accurate data input without any noise. Key-tops are sunk laser-etched in legends and characters using high-quality ink for easy readability and long life to prevent lettering rub-off. Protrusive engraving is available. The operating system is compatible with All Windows, Linux, Unix, and Mac OSX.
